Role Overview

This position involves preparing special meals and substitutions, managing oven and grill temperatures, and handling food thawing and storage. Food presentation, portion control, and garnishing are key responsibilities, alongside maintaining detailed food logs and monitoring quality and quantity of prepared dishes. Communication with chefs and service staff about menu specials and stock levels is essential.

Key Duties

• Prepare and cook food following recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Assist in employee-related tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivation, and coaching.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies; report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Anticipate guest needs and communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting items up to 25 pounds.
• Support the team to meet shared goals and address employee concerns effectively.
• Carry out any additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience required.
• No supervisory experience necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
