  • Support influencer and celebrity collaborations by sourcing creators, pitching ideas, drafting briefs, and monitoring content performance.

  • Develop and nurture connections with diverse media outlets nationally and regionally to broaden audience engagement and brand awareness.
  • Maintain and update the corporate media list, oversee media monitoring, and identify opportunities to leverage trending stories.
  • Coordinate department schedules, key dates, and deadlines to facilitate communications planning.
  • Assist with submitting award nominations and applications to gain industry recognition for the league and its leadership.
  • Contribute to the organization and media operations for league events like press conferences, the Draft, Awards ceremonies, and specialty games.
  • Handle media inquiries professionally and promptly, coordinating information delivery and interview logistics.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, media, sports management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in public relations, sports or entertainment media relations, communications, influencer engagement, or journalism.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian media landscapes, including tactics for targeted pitching and press event management.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strengths in planning, editing, fact-checking, and data compilation.
  • Willingness to travel to games and events as required.
  • Availability to work outside standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, consistent with the demands of professional sports.
  • Eligibility to work legally full-time in either the United States or Canada based on residence.
