Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive analyses of disease areas, product portfolios, competitive environments, and prospective target companies or assets to assist in business development decisions and internal strategic planning.
- Utilize public data and market intelligence tools to identify and appraise companies and assets that align with Azurity's corporate development goals.
- Support key business development functions, including preparing presentations and analytical resources for internal audiences, and maintaining deal pipeline tracking documentation.
- Assist with due diligence by preparing necessary materials, coordinating activities, managing data rooms, and documenting key findings and action items to maintain project timelines.
- Contribute to evaluating prospective partnerships and opportunities through screening, conference prep, managing logistics such as meetings and deadlines, and creating pre-meeting materials.
- Create polished presentations and materials for external stakeholders, ranging from corporate overviews to tailored decks for individual meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's degree in life sciences or pharmaceutical sciences, or Bachelor's degree in life sciences coupled with prior full-time industry experience in pharmaceutical/biotech sectors, life science consulting, pharmacy, or healthcare investment banking.
- Additional advanced degrees such as MBA or PhD are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry encompassing drug development, clinical programs, regulatory affairs, and commercial dynamics.
- Capability to distill complex scientific, clinical, and financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with market intelligence and data analysis platforms is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of developing well-crafted presentations.
- Meticulous organization skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- High standards of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment, especially when managing confidential information.
- Basic understanding of AI platforms and strategies for their implementation.
