About the role
Kiwibank is looking for a Customer Verification Analyst to join a strong team focused on keeping customer tax residency details accurate and supporting due diligence work. This position is based in Lower Hutt or Hastings and includes hybrid working options.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain and check customer tax records for accuracy.
- Assess customer details to confirm regulatory obligations are being met.
- Look into cases where information or documents are missing or incomplete and work them through to resolution.
- Assist with remediation work and quality checks across customer records.
- Track customer information for changes that may affect offshore tax residency responsibilities.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to update records and close out cases.
- Help internal teams understand AEOI and FATCA obligations through guidance and education.
- Contribute ideas and actions that improve processes and the overall customer and team experience.

- Background in banking operations, a contact centre, or a branch environment is preferred.
- Strong eye for detail and consistent accuracy.
- Comfortable working with procedures, records, and compliance standards.
- Clear communicator who can build trusted working relationships.
- Customer-first approach and willingness to support colleagues and customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
