Dairy Process Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Dairy Process Project Manager to take charge of capital expenditure projects and lead key process and automation initiatives within our dairy production operations located in Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar. This role involves driving improvements in operational metrics and managing new product trials through to full-scale manufacturing ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee CAPEX projects from initial concept through commissioning phases.
• Implement process enhancements to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), product yield, and operational productivity.
• Manage the industrialization of new products, taking pilots to commercial-scale production efficiently.
• Lead automation and digital transformation efforts including programming and deployment of PLC, SCADA, MES, and IoT systems.
• Collaborate and coordinate activities among cross-functional teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure all processes comply with HACCP, FSSC 22000/ISO 22000 certifications, and follow hygienic design requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline.
• Between 5 to 8 years of professional experience working in dairy or food and beverage manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in CAPEX project management, process engineering, automation technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of dairy processing methods, including Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-In-Place (SIP) systems, along with food safety standards.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 and Lean Six Sigma are highly valued.
