Role Overview

The Data Analyst II plays a critical role in advancing Trinity Health's strategic priorities by delivering advanced business intelligence and data analytics support. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining sophisticated data models, performing statistical analyses, and creating informative reports and dashboards to aid organizational decision-making. The analyst collaborates with various teams, including clinical leaders, finance, supply chain, and IT, to uncover opportunities for data-driven improvements and operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities

• Provide analytic guidance and technical assistance to clinical, operational, and leadership stakeholders.
• Design and manage complex datasets drawn from multiple sources to support organizational initiatives.
• Develop, validate, and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct research on measure definitions, algorithms, and statistical methodologies to ensure accuracy and relevance in analysis.
• Formulate queries and handle large multidimensional datasets to extract meaningful information.
• Regularly monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design integrated ad hoc analyses aligned with strategic goals.
• Assist in preparing presentations, publications, and online content to convey analytical outcomes.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with internal teams through quality analysis and clear communication.
• Mentor junior data analysts and collaborate with senior analysts on complex projects.
• Work closely with IT and data management teams to support data infrastructure, clinical databases, and vendor applications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health Science, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in operational, healthcare, or clinical data analytics.
• Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Experience with relational databases and programming with SQL or Python.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView, or Business Objects.
• Strong grasp of quality improvement methodologies, study design, and statistical modeling.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with healthcare operations, data standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven interpersonal skills to foster cross-departmental collaboration.
