Data Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Data Analyst on behalf of a partner organization affiliated with Haystack. This role involves diving deeply into data to uncover valuable insights and solve complex challenges within the defense acquisition domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze both structured and unstructured data sets to transform into actionable information.
• Support defense acquisition initiatives through expert data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their data requirements and provide detailed financial requirement analyses.
• Offer guidance to clients regarding data interpretation and its implications on crucial weapon systems.
• Create and manage funding trackers, examine budget execution and expenditures, and oversee expiring funds.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of four years working experience with Department of the Navy clients, such as NAVSEA or NAVWAR.
• At least two years using data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Two or more years of proficiency with programming languages focused on data manipulation, including SQL and Python.
• At least one year of experience in data engineering utilizing platforms such as Databricks or Spark.
• Background in acquisition, program management, and financial analysis.
• Possession of a Secret security clearance.
