Role Overview

The Data Implementation Engineer will lead the technical delivery of integrations for accesso Intelligence's data platform. This role involves establishing integration patterns, scaling onboarding processes, maintaining data quality, and collaborating directly with customers. The position requires understanding the commercial operations of attractions and translating that into accurate data implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and standardize integration patterns in collaboration with the data engineering team for various accesso products, focusing on data models, transformations, semantic mapping, and quality benchmarks.
• Manage onboarding of new customers by configuring integrations per venue, validating data according to accepted criteria, and ensuring ongoing support through change management and issue resolution.
• Develop derived datasets and transformation layers to convert raw system outputs into analytics-ready inputs that power accesso Intelligence insights.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on integration experiences to identify improvement opportunities and future use cases.
• Engage with customer technical and operational teams to manage data-related inquiries, set expectations, and facilitate smooth data integration processes.

Candidate Profile

• Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in data platforms, transformation tools, and API/third-party system integrations. Familiarity with DuckDB and MotherDuck is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong grasp of operational business rules, revenue models, and organizational nuances within attractions to build accurate data mental models.
• Ability to identify and document repeatable integration approaches while adapting to unique customer needs.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical teams and customers, translating requirements and managing expectations effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining high data quality through acceptance criteria, integrity checks, and thoughtful derived logic.

Located in Auckland with a hybrid schedule (approximately 3 days onsite at Parnell office, 2 days remote). Additional Information

No travel is required. The position reports directly to the Vice President of accesso Intelligence.
