Description de l'emploi
About the Role
Domino’s is hiring delivery drivers for store coverage in the Syracuse area. This position is a strong fit if you want flexible hours, need a schedule that works around school or a second job, or are looking for a role with room to grow into leadership or management over time.
The company emphasizes teamwork, opportunity for advancement, and an inclusive workplace where different backgrounds and strengths are valued.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver pizzas and related items to customers within the assigned delivery zone.
- Operate store equipment and support routine store operations as needed.
- Move ingredients and supplies between the delivery area, storage space, work areas, and cooler.
- Prepare products, receive phone orders, and enter/process orders accurately.
- Count inventory, complete required paperwork, and help keep the store clean.
- Carry out delivery-related tasks such as dropping flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with a driving history that meets company standards. A vehicle that is insured and available for deliveries is required.
You should be comfortable reading maps, finding addresses within a delivery area, and handling deliveries in different conditions, including stairs, multi-level buildings, private homes, and other challenging terrain.
Strong basic math ability is needed for making change and completing quick calculations. You should also be able to communicate clearly by phone, in writing, and face-to-face, and use a computer keyboard or touchscreen for order entry.
On-the-job orientation and training are provided.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
This role involves a mix of standing, walking short distances, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying product, pushing and pulling loaded trays, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing stairs, and driving during deliveries.
Work may involve exposure to changing weather, heat, cold, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, sharp tools, moving parts, and hot surfaces. Visibility and sensing requirements include hearing and speaking on the phone, near and mid-range vision for store tasks, depth perception, far/night vision for driving, and the ability to tell hot from cold surfaces.
The job also requires the ability to work independently or with others, handle stress, perform repetitive tasks, meet quality expectations, and make sound judgments.
Additional Information
Most tasks are completed while standing. Walking is usually limited to short distances, including movement between the store, the delivery vehicle, and the customer’s location. Paperwork is typically done at a desk or table.
Bulk deliveries arrive at least twice a week and are unloaded with a hand truck. Deliveries can include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and measuring up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases are often lifted from the floor to shelves as high as 72 inches.
Other physical tasks include carrying large cans, a 30-pound pizza sauce container at times, and trays of dough. Stacked trays may need to be pushed or pulled on a dolly. Delivery work can require climbing stairs, sometimes five or more flights, and occasional ladder use for maintenance or signage changes.
Common equipment and tools may include pens, pencils, computers, phones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
Growth Opportunity
Many team members begin in delivery and later move into management, general management, franchise ownership, or corporate operations roles.
Diversity Statement
Domino’s says it aims to create a workplace that values each person’s unique contribution and helps every team member reach their full potential.
