Digital Architect

Job Overview

The Digital Architect position involves designing and overseeing scalable, secure, and customer-centric digital solutions spanning web, mobile, conversational AI, and airline commerce platforms. The primary focus includes Amadeus airline systems, Digital APIs, booking and servicing functionalities, integrations, and cross-platform channels such as Ionic-based and AI conversational apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of digital channel architectures including web, mobile, AI conversational platforms, APIs, middleware, identity management, analytics, and customer engagement tools.
• Utilize practical knowledge of Ionic Framework, Capacitor, TypeScript, Adobe solutions, and contemporary front-end frameworks to enable enterprise-grade cross-platform applications.
• Establish detailed solution specifications outlining user journeys, API contracts, data flows, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, and architecture decisions.
• Implement AI-assisted development methodologies emphasizing specification quality, human oversight, secure coding practices, test automation, and traceability.
• Leverage experience with airline digital platforms such as booking processes, servicing workflows, payment integration, loyalty programs, and Amadeus-related services.
• Effectively communicate technical choices to stakeholders including business, product, delivery, and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in solution, digital, or technology architecture roles within complex digital transformation settings; overall IT or related experience of at least 10 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar field preferred.
• Extensive expertise with Amadeus airline systems, Digital APIs, enterprise integration, and customer-focused digital platforms.
• Familiarity with Ionic Framework, Capacitor, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue is advantageous.
• Experience with specification-driven delivery encompassing structured requirements, API contracts, user journeys, acceptance criteria, and non-functional needs.
• Strong skills in communication, stakeholder management, vendor relations, and cross-team collaboration.
• Possession of architecture certifications like TOGAF, SAFe Architect, Open Certified Architect, or equivalents is desirable.
