Overview
This opportunity is presented on behalf of a partner organization seeking a Dispatcher based in the United States to join their growing home services company. The role is central to daily operational management, focusing on organizing technician schedules, enhancing routing efficiency, and assuring dependable and timely customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and oversee daily technician schedules and routing using field service management software.
- Assess incoming service requests, assigning technicians based on priority, expertise, availability, and proximity.
- Track technician status and locations in real time to manage adjustments, delays, and emergency situations effectively.
- Communicate accurate technician arrival times and proactively update customers with schedule changes.
- Handle on-the-spot scheduling conflicts, cancellations, and emergency dispatch requirements.
- Maintain precise records of job details, technician assignments, and status updates within operational systems.
- Ensure technicians are fully briefed with job specifics prior to site arrival.
- Detect repetitive scheduling issues and escalate operational concerns to management promptly.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in dispatch procedures and service coordination workflows.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of two years dispatching experience, preferably within plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or comparable home service sectors.
- Proficiency with field service management platforms such as HouseCall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, or equivalent scheduling tools.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, particularly under time-sensitive conditions.
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls, messages, and scheduling tasks with precision.
- Strong organizational abilities with adeptness at prioritizing and adapting to change swiftly.
- Comfortable collaborating remotely with technicians, customers, and internal teams.
- Capability to monitor operational details and keep accurate records.
- Desirable skills include familiarity with GPS or fleet tracking technologies and basic knowledge of plumbing or HVAC terminology.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly pay up to $1,450 depending on experience.
- Guaranteed annual bonus equivalent to one month’s salary.
- Performance-based annual bonus opportunity up to 1.5 times one month’s salary, awarded quarterly.
