About The Role

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser where you will be pivotal in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective pharmacy and healthcare services within our store. Based in Lanark, Scotland, you'll play a vital role in engaging with patients by understanding their needs, dispensing prescriptions accurately, and providing informed advice on medicines and wellness.

Key Duties

  • Safely dispense prescriptions including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection of medicines ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to help manage and deliver pharmacy services efficiently.
  • Offer medicines-related guidance to patients and direct complex queries to the pharmacist.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain safe and legal dispensing practices.
  • Stay informed about new in-store innovations and adhere to operational protocols.
  • Assist patients in managing their prescriptions effectively, promoting adherence and minimizing medication wastage.
  • Engage with evolving dispensing technologies to enhance patient safety and free up time for patient interaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or being partway through an MPharm degree (having finished at least the first year).
  • Valid UK right to work status is mandatory; sponsorship for skilled worker visas is not provided.
  • Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.
