Role Overview

We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join our team at the Dublin site. This role involves supporting project and site management teams to ensure safety standards and statutory compliance are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Management team along with the Site EHS Manager and Lead to implement safety programs.
  • Ensure adherence to the project-specific and company-wide Safety Management Systems.
  • Comply with all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety laws and regulations.
  • Apply Winthrop Technologies’ PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
  • Review and evaluate method statements, risk assessments, safe work plans, and permits to work.
  • Monitor compliance with the project execution plan and maintain robust safety practices.
  • Continuously update and manage Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (C.O.S.H.H.) assessments.
  • Verify that safety interventions are logged and completed as necessary.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Keep records of statutory inspections accessible for audits of project activities, tools, and equipment.
  • Adopt a proactive mindset toward environmental and safety requirements on the project.
  • Work independently or collaboratively within the team as needed.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with project and company EHS policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate induction and training sessions pertaining to health and safety.
  • Organize and deliver Toolbox talks as required.
  • Support or lead accident investigations promptly and communicate findings to project management.
  • Oversee welfare and hygiene facility management on site.
  • Participate in daily briefings and coordination meetings.
  • Maintain waste reduction and recycling initiatives consistent with project policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a relevant third-level degree in Health & Safety.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on large construction sites.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety legislation.
  • Be flexible with working hours as required by project demands.
  • Exhibit strong communication and computer skills.
  • Capable of managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety issues on site effectively.
