Role Overview

The Electrical Inspector will oversee and evaluate all electrical activities on infrastructure projects, guaranteeing compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, and applicable standards. This position entails reviewing electrical plans and shop drawings, supervising site execution, and managing quality control to assure safety, dependability, and conformity with project requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide constructive feedback on electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submissions.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and low-voltage systems.
• Monitor on-site work to ensure compliance with approved construction methods and safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections, witness testing procedures, and confirm contractor adherence to project specifications.
• Review technical correspondences such as RFIs and submittals, responding promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all electrical tasks conform to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of seven years’ professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in reviewing electrical designs and shop drawings.
• Experience with infrastructure projects focused on roads, bridges, and tunnels.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as IEC, NFPA, SEC, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and leadership capabilities.
