Electronics Assembly Technician

Position Overview

This role involves assembling intricate electronic circuits, sub-assemblies, and full systems by interpreting engineering schematics and directives. The technician will employ various hand and soldering tools, multimeters, and inspection instruments to put together components and circuit boards. The job includes testing, modifying, and troubleshooting electronic systems during the prototyping phase, collaborating with design and fabrication teams to verify part compatibility and functionality.

Core Duties

• Assemble precision electronic circuits and systems based on technical documentation.
• Utilize a variety of tools including soldering irons, multimeters, and inspection equipment.
• Perform tests, adjustments, and diagnosis of electronic systems during prototyping.
• Closely coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure correct assembly and operation of components.
• Document assembly processes, inspection results, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain tools and workstation cleanliness adhering to safety and housekeeping protocols.
• Support integration and testing of mechanical systems combined with electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components as necessary.

Experience and Skills

• 3 to 6 years of experience in electronic assembly, manufacturing, or prototype development of electronic products.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Expertise in operating electronic tools, fasteners, fittings, and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of electronic inspection tools and fundamental troubleshooting practices.
• Experience with high-precision electronic PCB, sensors, and system assembly.
• Background in manufacturing cable harness assemblies for aerospace or defense sectors.
• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, or electromechanical systems is preferred.
