Job Overview
The role involves providing administrative and technical support for fleet management and project implementation within the maritime operations of Pacific International Lines. The incumbent will contribute to documentation management, vendor registration, damage claims, digitization projects, regulatory compliance, and process improvement initiatives related to fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support documentation processes for project implementation and retrofit activities.
- Coordinate with Vessel Managers on matters such as Class Survey, flag changes, and ownership transfers.
- Maintain close coordination with Vessel Managers, company workshops, and external vendors to track spare parts for ship overhaul.
- Handle documentation related to stevedore damage claims efficiently.
- Register new vendors into company systems ensuring proper documentation.
- Participate in various duties as delegated by management.
- Assist the PMS (Planned Maintenance System) Manager with support for BASSnet implementation and database maintenance.
- Contribute to fleet digitization projects as needed.
- Provide support to the Fleet Process, Performance, and Compliance Department by organizing policies and procedures.
- Help review and implement improvements to existing operational processes.
- Collect and compile data for monitoring fleet performance metrics, including KPIs and efficiency programs.
- Manage processing of transactions such as purchase order issuance for sustainability initiatives.
- Support compliance with local and international regulations affecting technical operations (e.g., EU ETS, EEXI, CII).
- Assist with execution and tracking of internal technical projects such as vessel inventory management, flying repair squad operations, and training for Masters and Chief Engineers.
Requirements
- Possess a diploma qualification with at least two years of relevant experience in marine-related operational roles.
- Experience in technical aspects of the shipping industry is desirable for effective role performance.
