Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Financial Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a crucial role in shaping and executing the overall financial strategy for the Group. This position includes overseeing daily Finance Department activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial and management reporting such as group consolidation, cash flow statements, budgets, and forecasts. You will interface with external auditors, bankers, and tax consultants regarding audits, financial disclosures, and compliance. Process enhancements, internal control improvements, and presenting detailed financial reports to stakeholders and the Board are also key duties. Leading and mentoring the Finance team to uphold operational excellence and fostering continuous professional growth are important aspects of this role. Additional project assignments may be delegated as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; professional qualifications such as CPA or CA are advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Financial Controller specifically within a Mainboard Listed Company is mandatory.
- Knowledgeable about regulatory obligations under the SGX Main Board Listing Rules.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- High level of dedication and strong time management skills to handle stringent project deadlines.
- Advanced technical accounting and analytical capabilities are preferred.
