Firmware Verification (QA) Engineer

About the Role

Sunrise Biztech Systems Pvt. Ltd. is urgently seeking a Firmware Verification (QA) Engineer for a 12-month contractual position based in Bengaluru. This role is dedicated to enhancing the quality, robustness, and test coverage of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) firmware. The engineer will collaborate closely with firmware development teams to ensure thorough validation and reliable firmware releases.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and perform a variety of firmware validation tests inclusive of unit, algorithm-level, and system-level assessments.
• Design and implement unit testing frameworks targeting firmware algorithms.
• Develop and sustain automation infrastructures utilizing C, C++, and Python languages.
• Evaluate and improve code quality, parameters, and functional coverage.
• Troubleshoot issues identified via Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) regression pipelines.
• Manage and update regression test suites ensuring both rapid check-in tests and comprehensive regression testing.
• Integrate static code analysis and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with firmware developers to establish test plans and verify coverage for newly introduced features.
• Engage in automation and artificial intelligence-driven testing methodologies and debugging.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in programming with C and C++.
• Previous experience in firmware testing and validation.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and continuous integration systems.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding firmware algorithm processes such as training and calibration workflows.
• Familiarity with DRAM and memory systems including DDR and HBM.
• Exposure to pre-silicon validation and design verification practices.
• Competence with static analysis tools.
• Experience or interest in AI-based testing automation.

Education and Eligibility

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Specifically eligible candidates include those with a B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Electronics and Computer Engineering.

Additional Information

• Applicants must possess a hands-on coding and testing mindset; candidates solely focused on manual QA will not be considered suitable.
• Previous experience with firmware, embedded systems, or memory subsystems will be advantageous.
