Role Overview
Halo is searching for a proactive and meticulous IT Helpdesk Support Specialist to become part of its energetic IT department. The selected candidate will deliver frontline technical support to users, address IT problems promptly, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and escalate complex issues to specialized IT teams. This position requires onsite presence with availability for after-hours on-call support.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding procedures for employees, ensuring seamless IT access setup and removal.
- Escalate advanced IT incidents to appropriate specialized personnel efficiently.
- Support and maintain Windows and macOS environments along with essential software suites like Google G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Participate in after-hours support duties as required to maintain IT service availability.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of five years’ experience working within IT or related sectors.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems, office productivity software, and common hardware including PCs, laptops, and printers.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols.
- Availability to provide support outside normal business hours when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar.
- Hands-on experience using ticketing and IT service management systems like Jira or Zendesk.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and user account administration.
- Eagerness to learn emerging technologies and adapt to evolving workflows.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills tailored to assist users with varying technical expertise.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are advantageous.
