Role Overview
This part-time, on-site position in Dublin requires taking ownership of the company's network infrastructure and system management. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and monitoring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure, stable connectivity. Responsibilities also include managing servers, performing updates, backups, and recovery functions, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. Collaboration with teams and clients, documentation, and enhancing infrastructure systems form integral parts of the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer network components such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and corporate Wi-Fi systems.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, Exchange Online, and Active Directory systems.
- Configure and support Azure/Entra ID identities, multi-factor authentication, and access policies.
- Oversee device policy compliance using Microsoft Intune.
- Implement security through Microsoft Defender and Purview.
- Support and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, and access points spanning multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and manage incident workflows using ServiceNow or Jira.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- A minimum of three years' practical experience in network or system administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure/Entra ID platforms.
- Possession of relevant Microsoft certifications like MS-102 and AZ-104 or their equivalents.
- Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working directly with clients.
