IT Systems Engineer

This role focuses on the design, deployment, administration, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure to guarantee high availability, optimal performance, secure environments, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware, and monitor system performance and availability.
• Manage Active Directory services including user account lifecycle, organizational units, group policies, and security configurations.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 environments, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, licensing, and email security.
• Handle Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including user authentication, conditional access, multi-factor authentication, and cloud identity services.
• Implement and manage Identity & Access Management (IAM) with role-based controls, single sign-on, access review, and adherence to Principle of Least Privilege.
• Administer Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to secure and monitor privileged accounts and credentials.
• Manage Endpoint Management via Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM), ensuring compliance, security policy enforcement, and software deployment.
• Conduct backup and disaster recovery planning, testing, and monitoring to protect data and ensure service continuity.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and PKI services to secure organizational communications.
• Utilize infrastructure monitoring tools such as PRTG or Zabbix to observe performance, configure alerts, and analyze incidents proactively.
• Support cybersecurity operations including Trend Vision One, FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, assist with system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security audits.
• Administer enterprise business applications coordinating user permissions, integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver advanced Level 2 and Level 3 IT support; participate in digital transformation projects and collaborate with external vendors.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, disaster recovery plans, and adhere to change management and compliance protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure and systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, IAM, PAM, DNS, DHCP, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), backup/recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Familiarity with security products such as FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, Trend Vision One and PowerShell scripting.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server administration, TCP/IP networking, VPN, SSL/PKI concepts.
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation, VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+, and Network+.
