Junior HTML CSS Developer

Role Overview

Olive Tree Consulting is seeking a Junior HTML CSS Developer to join our team permanently on a full-time basis. This position supports a client within the Dutch logistics industry by refining their internal communication and management systems. You will be tasked with building and maintaining web-based tools and documentation sites, enabling clients to visualize their management processes effectively. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility to work from any location where you are most productive.

About the Role

We believe that successful management hinges on clear and accessible written records. Many teams struggle due to disorganized or hard-to-access internal documentation. Your role will bridge the gap between our advisory guidance and the digital tools our clients use to document decisions and priorities. You will concentrate on front-end interfaces, ensuring they are user-friendly, clean in design, and functional. Specifically, for our Dutch logistics client, the goal is to transform complex operational data into an approachable digital experience. Interaction with our team occurs via remote collaboration platforms to convert strategy notes into structured web layouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structured web layouts using semantic HTML and CSS.
• Refine existing codebases to enhance readability and accessibility of management dashboards.
• Guarantee responsive design compatibility across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with advisory members to convert handwritten notes and diagrams into digital formats.
• Maintain uniform visual styling on all client-facing documentation websites.
• Conduct thorough testing of layouts to detect visual inconsistencies or bugs before client delivery.
• Organize complex logistics data into clear, comprehensible structures for team use.
• Update internal style guidelines to preserve a professional and minimalist digital presentation.

Candidate Profile

• Strong grasp of HTML5 and CSS3 core technologies.
• An eye for layout and typography that enhances readability of text-centric pages.
• Preference for simplicity, avoiding complex animations and decorative designs.
• Ability to adhere to established design standards while proposing minor usability improvements.
• Persistence in resolving minor styling and cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical choices clearly.
• Self-disciplined and capable of managing your own time and deadlines effectively in a remote setting.

Desirable Experience
