Role Summary
The Manager of Payment Operations will lead the payment and treasury management across NADG’s Canadian and US businesses, reporting to the Director of Business Processes & Systems. This role involves process management, treasury coordination, and collaborative leadership across departments, acting as a key interface between senior leadership and teams in finance, accounting, and operations. The manager will oversee the entire payment and cash flow cycle, strengthen treasury controls, and nurture banking partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive payment and treasury operations, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely transaction execution across Canadian and US entities.
- Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity to fulfill operational and investment demands.
- Serve as the liaison between the Director and internal departments, aligning treasury and payment priorities organization-wide.
- Administer bank accounts and cultivate relationships with banks, payment providers, and system vendors.
- Lead reconciliation and settlement activities, resolving any discrepancies through collaboration with accounting and finance teams.
- Maintain and improve treasury controls, payment workflows, and required documentation.
- Prepare detailed cash, payment, and treasury reports for leadership review.
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory obligations across jurisdictions.
- Seek and implement opportunities to enhance cash management and automate treasury and payment processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4 to 5 years’ professional experience in treasury, payment operations, cash management, or a related finance area.
- Deep understanding of treasury functions, cash flow forecasting, payment processing, and financial control systems.
- Experience managing banking relationships across multiple entities and jurisdictions; knowledge of Canadian and US markets is advantageous.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of bridging senior leadership and operational teams effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with capacity to independently juggle competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in handling payment methods including wires, EFTs, and ACHs.
- Solid knowledge of KYC, AML practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Eager and quick learner with a proactive attitude toward process improvement and innovation.
- Interest in AI technologies and automation, with openness to experimentation and learning of new tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks methodically and follow through with commitments.
- Clear and concise communication skills, including simple process documentation and professional cross-team coordination.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting or document management software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Yardi property management software.
- Hands-on usage of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot in professional or project environments.
- Awareness of workflow automation tools.
- Exposure to accounts payable, banking, or general finance operations.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related disciplines.

Compensation
The salary for this position in Toronto ranges from CA$70,000 to CA$95,000 annually, reflecting various career levels and to be refined during the interview stage based on qualifications and experience. Details of benefits and compensation components will be discussed individually.
