Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Examine construction materials upon delivery to verify adherence to approved submittals, project standards, and relevant codes.
  • Assess material approvals, manufacturer certificates, test data, and delivery records prior to acceptance.
  • Observe material sampling and laboratory testing ensuring compliance with project criteria and standards.
  • Supervise proper storage, handling, and protection of materials to preserve quality and suitability.
  • Confirm that only authorized materials are utilized in construction activities.
  • Oversee the quality control of materials such as concrete, steel reinforcement, asphalt, aggregates, masonry units, waterproofing components, finishes, piping, and other building materials as applicable.
  • Identify materials that do not conform to requirements and collaborate with contractors for corrective measures or substitutions.
  • Produce comprehensive inspection documentation including inspection reports, material inspection requests, and non-conformance reports.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test outcomes, approvals, and certifications.
  • Coordinate efforts among contractors, consultants, laboratories, suppliers, and engineers to solve material-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC protocols and health, safety, and environmental standards on the project.

Candidate Qualifications
