Meat Associate

Position Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Meat Associate and enhance your experience in retail and customer service. In this role, you will deliver outstanding service by upholding Walmart's core values, maintain the meat department's appearance, assist with merchandising, and contribute to sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and zone the meat section to ensure orderliness.
• Manage stock rotation and regularly check products for expiration.
• Verify that all merchandise is accurately labeled and priced.
• Follow protocols for cold chain integrity, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, and food safety standards related to handling, product rotation, and expiration dates.
• Process orders for deli products; slice and prepare meats, cheeses, and fried chicken; offer assistance to customers as needed.
• Adhere to procedures for ordering, markups/markdowns, labeling, pricing, and clearance activities.
• Prepare deli items and meat products using slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers; assemble salads and sides for display; fulfill special customer orders as required.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.30.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be aged 16 years or older.
