Overview
BCLP is committed to innovation and transformation within the legal sector, fostering a culture that encourages curiosity and challenges traditional practices. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Global Business Services (GBS) team based in Al-Khobar and Riyadh, focusing on the seamless management of everyday operations and coordination tasks. The Operations Manager functions as a vital connector between local teams and global functions, driving operational efficiency, solving issues, and aiding the delivery of essential services in the region. Reporting to the KSA Office Managing Partner, this role oversees the operational functions across two Saudi offices.
Key Duties
- Align daily activities with the firm’s global policies and engage in regular communication with international colleagues.
- Ensure efficient functioning of the KSA offices to support lawyers in delivering exceptional client service.
- Manage the annual budgeting process for the offices.
- Plan and execute projects such as system upgrades, office relocations, and refurbishments, in addition to leading service provider contract negotiations.
- Maintain compliance with policies, health, safety standards, and actively promote continuous process enhancements.
- Oversee daily office operations ensuring cohesive coordination across various teams and departments.
- Customize global initiatives for local implementation, guaranteeing they are consistent with the overall firm strategy.
- Manage and support local GBS staff, encouraging teamwork and alignment with global objectives.
Functional Collaboration
- Facilities & Administration: Ensure the workplace complies with health and safety regulations, manage seating plans and office layout, liaise with landlords regarding contracts, repairs, and renovations, organize office events, and coordinate catering services.
- People Team: Work closely to fulfill local HR requirements, communicate local activities to global teams, and maintain accurate HR records and documents.
- Finance Team: Assist with operational support for financial procedures and initiatives as required.
Candidate Profile
- Proven background in operations management with knowledge of local employment laws.
- Experience in a professional services or legal environment, or other fast-paced, client-oriented sectors, is preferred.
- Track record of working across multiple international locations and engaging stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluent proficiency in both written and spoken English.
