Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Operations Manager to lead daily field activities and support project teams throughout various phases of civil construction projects. This leader will need hands-on knowledge of construction workflows, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality across several projects simultaneously. The Operations Manager acts as a crucial liaison between executive leadership, project managers, crews, and subcontractors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct and synchronize daily operations across multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Supervise project teams including foremen, superintendents, and field personnel by providing leadership, mentorship, and managing performance outcomes.
• Track project milestones and proactively address obstacles to sustain productivity and profitability.
• Enforce strict compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements at job sites.
• Collaborate with senior management, estimating teams, and project managers to aid in project planning, resource management, and execution.
• Foster strong partnerships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to guarantee smooth operational communication.
• Evaluate current operational procedures and introduce enhancements to boost efficiency, cut costs, and improve overall outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of five years in operations or project management within civil construction or site development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities installation, paving, and related civil construction activities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including capability to inspire and develop field crews.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical problem-solving, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects with focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar is preferred, though substantial relevant work experience is highly regarded.
