About the Role
We are looking for skilled procurement professionals to advance their careers within government sectors. Our client invites applications for Procurement Support Officers and Procurement Advisors (equivalent to APS5/APS6) to become part of a dynamic procurement team serving one of Australia's most prestigious federal institutions. The role is instrumental in supporting vital operational, corporate, and strategic programs that safeguard communities and ensure delivery of essential public services.
Positions are available in Melbourne or Sydney. Candidates must hold an active NV1 security clearance and Australian citizenship is mandatory. The initial contract term is 12 months, with the potential for a 24-month extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the full procurement lifecycle.
- Prepare procurement documentation and develop sourcing strategies.
- Assist in processing Requests for Quotes (RFQs), tenders, and evaluations.
- Perform market research and facilitate supplier engagement.
- Compile reports, approval requests, and contract documentation.
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in government procurement environments.
- Knowledgeable in Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail coupled with sound decision-making abilities.
- Collaborative and customer-oriented mindset.
Additional Information
This role requires candidates to possess an active NV1 security clearance; applications without this clearance will not be considered. Australian citizenship is a compulsory requirement.
