Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and implement procurement strategies covering various categories.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle including sourcing, tendering, evaluating, negotiating, contracting, and onboarding suppliers.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure business continuity and long-term value.
• Collaborate with operational, technical, and commercial teams to forecast needs and align procurement efforts.
• Ensure adherence to procurement governance, risk mitigation, and compliance standards.
• Regularly monitor and report on supplier performance.
• Promote continuous improvements in procurement processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
• Provide commercial analysis to assist in budgeting and cost forecasting.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Proven negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Strong communication and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Capability to understand and translate technical requirements into procurement strategies.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement of workflows and processes.

Additional Information

The project will initially operate from Auckland and later transition to an office located between Warkworth and Wellsford.
