Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Jubail is focused on producing accurate project cost estimates for construction and industrial work. The Project Estimator will analyze drawings, specifications, and scope details to build reliable cost plans covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted services. The role also includes site visits when required, coordination with engineering, procurement, and project management teams, and support for tender pricing and budgeting activities.
What You Will Do
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and industrial projects.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand scope and requirements.
- Assess costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor involvement.
- Carry out site visits whenever project conditions require on-ground review.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to confirm scope and resolve questions.
- Build and update project budgets and cost models.
- Examine bids and assist with tender preparation and pricing decisions.
- Monitor cost changes, identify variations, and support accurate forecasting.
- Contribute to value engineering efforts that improve project efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
- Strong capability in cost management and budgeting.
- Hands-on experience with construction estimating and preparing project estimates.
- Clear communication skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Exposure to industrial or construction projects, especially in oil and gas, energy, or process plant environments, is an advantage.
- Comfort using estimation tools, spreadsheets, and related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Good analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform under deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Commitment to safety, ethical working practices, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
