Overview
Vertiv's facility in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland, serves as a vital center for designing and manufacturing modular data centre solutions that support global clients across data centres, telecommunications, and industrial fields. The site focuses on integrated power infrastructure such as switchgear, busbar systems, power distribution, and energy management technologies. In response to ongoing growth, the company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team and take charge of critical projects from conception to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects throughout all stages including design review, procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
- Coordinate efforts of project teams, subcontractors, and resources to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project development, proactively identify risks or challenges, and implement solutions to address them.
- Participate in site and client meetings to maintain project momentum and align expectations.
- Oversee procurement activities such as requisitions, delivery tracking, and ensuring complete audit trails.
- Maintain clear communication channels with contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage project finances by tracking costs, expenditures, and performance to uphold strong commercial control.
- Assume overall responsibility for project delivery, including financial management and operational oversight.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years of project management experience in construction, engineering, or a comparable environment.
- Proven ability managing subcontractors, site operations, and adhering to project schedules.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
- Commercially savvy with experience in budgeting and controlling costs.
- Competent in leading and coordinating diverse teams.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical & engineering, or technical projects is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Highly self-driven and capable of managing workload independently.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence is required.
