Quality & Regulatory Systems Manager

Position Overview

This role is designed for a professional poised to lead and improve quality and regulatory frameworks that guarantee the delivery of compliant, safe, and top-quality products. The position involves constructing scalable workflows covering supplier quality assurance, document handling, regulatory adherence, and commercialization initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality programs and approve contract manufacturers in alignment with regulatory and quality benchmarks.
• Create and maintain supplier performance scorecards, track metrics, and spearhead continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Organize and coordinate audits of suppliers and external manufacturing in partnership with internal quality and sourcing units.
• Oversee Quality Management System procedures including document control, change management, CAPA resolution, non-conformance handling, variance monitoring, and master documentation management.
• Ensure centralized document management with strict version control, approvals, distribution, and user accessibility standards.
• Design and enhance quality workflows, repositories, and tracking tools that scale up operational effectiveness.
• Develop and present quality dashboards, key performance indicators, executive reports, and supplier performance measurements.
• Analyze quality data to detect trends, identify risks, and implement corrective strategies to reinforce compliance and efficiency.
• Manage regulatory registrations, renewals, labeling, and compliance across jurisdictions applicable to the products.
• Support commercialization tasks ensuring timely supplier approvals, qualification of materials, packaging reviews, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead change management projects and encourage collaboration among quality, regulatory, R&D, supply chain, operations, and external partners.
• Establish scalable governance procedures that sustain innovation while maintaining stringent regulatory compliance and product quality.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience with a minimum of seven years in quality, regulatory, or related fields.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supplier Quality, or food manufacturing contexts.
• In-depth understanding of FDA, USDA, AAFCO regulations concerning animal food, supplier quality frameworks, state registrations, and outsourced manufacturing oversight.
• Proficient in managing Quality Management Systems, including document control, change oversight, supplier management, and specifications.
• Demonstrated skills in creating dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms based on operational quality data.
• Advanced analytical ability to evaluate data trends, assess risks, and lead continuous improvements.
• Strong project management skills with a record of juggling multiple priorities and complex cross-department programs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the capacity to influence stakeholders across varied organizational tiers.
• Highly organized, resourceful in problem-solving, and adept in business analysis techniques.
• Collaborative approach with a strong commitment to compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranges from $110,000 to $120,000.
