Quantity Surveyor

Overview

An Abu Dhabi-based client is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to support construction project commercial controls and measurement work. Experience on large-scale, high-rise, or prominent UAE projects will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender paperwork.
• Build cost estimates, project budgets, and bills of quantities for construction works.
• Assess subcontractor quotations and support procurement-related tasks.
• Prepare monthly valuations, progress claims, and payment submissions.
• Measure completed work and check subcontractor payment certificates for accuracy.
• Track variations, change orders, and claims for additional work.
• Follow project costs closely and produce cost reports for management.
• Analyze costs and look for savings and value engineering opportunities.
• Examine contract documents and ensure work follows contractual terms.
• Support tendering, bid review, and contract administration activities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of UAE experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
• Prior exposure to high-rise, high-profile, or mega construction projects in the UAE is preferred.
