Role Overview
The Reservations Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through impeccable management of the reservation department. This includes overseeing service quality, managing bookings efficiently, and ensuring all guest interactions are handled attentively and courteously.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient operation of the Reservations Department, maintaining excellent guest service and satisfaction.
- Achieve monthly targets for room occupancy and average room rate.
- Handle daily telephone and email inquiries, recording and confirming reservations promptly and professionally.
- Manage the Property Management System (PMS) and website inventory, including sell rules and restrictions.
- Liaise daily with Activities and Food & Beverage teams on guest activity and restaurant bookings.
- Coordinate with all hotel departments regarding guest allergies, special requests, and relevant information through weekly overview reports.
- Conduct reservation audits and update third-party booking records accordingly.
- Ensure timely responses to all guest and third-party communications.
- Supervise group and self-catering bookings from inquiry through arrival, including managing necessary deposits.
- Assist with wedding inquiries during the Weddings & Events Manager's absence.
- Collaborate with tour operators concerning tour series sales and update inventory as needed.
- Lead test call training for reservations and front office teams, monitor performance, and report on target achievements.
- Drive continuous departmental improvements through training, coaching, and support aligned with hotel standards.
Candidate Profile
- At least 2 years of managerial experience in hotel reservations or front office departments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong organizational capabilities and adept at prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a collaborative approach.
- Proactive in solving challenges and dedicated to providing outstanding guest service.
