Role Summary
The State Head of Sales will be instrumental in leading and executing sales strategies to expand Kamrup's dealer network, increase market penetration, and achieve sales objectives across the assigned state. This role involves managing a sales team, fostering strong dealer relationships, and driving profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Develop and manage state-level sales forecasts and retail/wholesale sales tracking.
- Boost market share throughout assigned districts by formulating targeted sales plans.
- Identify and onboard new dealers while assessing their financial strength and ensuring dealership profitability.
- Audit dealer activities and resolve any grievances to improve their productivity.
- Hire, coach, and evaluate sales personnel including Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Officers, and Sales Executives.
- Implement KPIs and conduct regular sales performance reviews.
- Explore new business channels such as institutional sales and government leads, and build strategic partnerships with transport associations.
- Monitor competitor strategies including pricing, new product launches, dealer appointments, and customer buying trends to recommend effective pricing and marketing tactics.
- Organize and participate in marketing activities like roadshows, vehicle exhibitions, dealer and customer meets, local advertisements, and trade fairs to enhance brand visibility.
- Support dealer sales efforts through training, stock management, and improving customer experience.
- Oversee collections and financial coordination by managing credit limits, dealer payments, and collaborating with finance teams and NBFC/banks for customer financing options.
- Work closely with service teams to boost customer satisfaction, ensure warranty claim efficiency, and maintain spare parts availability.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports including daily sales, weekly reviews, monthly business analytics, dealer performance, collections, market intelligence, competitor analysis, and sales forecasts.
