About the opportunity

This role is for a Cyber Security Analyst to join a strong Security Operations function that helps safeguard a complex enterprise setting spanning cloud services, corporate IT, and operational technology.

As part of an established SOC, you will handle incident investigation and response, oversee vulnerability management, enhance security controls, and work closely with technology teams to improve the organisation’s overall cyber security posture.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigate security events and carry out response actions for cyber incidents.
  • Watch over security tools and fine-tune their setup and performance.
  • Spot weaknesses, manage vulnerabilities, and help reduce security exposure.
  • Contribute to governance activities, risk reviews, and change-related security checks.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external security partners to apply secure practices.
  • Assess emerging security products and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Create automation, operational documentation, and standard procedures for security work.
  • Prepare reporting and practical recommendations that strengthen security resilience.

What you will bring

You should have prior exposure to a Security Operations Centre or cyber security engineering environment, along with solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, endpoint protection, and web and email security controls.
  • Working knowledge of cloud security, preferably in AWS.
  • Ability to write scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Go.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with stakeholders.
  • A forward-looking mindset focused on incident response and continuous improvement.

Desirable experience

  • Exposure to Check Point, Akamai, or Rapid7 platforms.
  • Background in Operational Technology or Industrial Control Systems security.
  • Experience with security automation and vulnerability management.
