Our Mountain View office is conveniently located near Caltrain, and we follow a hybrid work model with 3-4 days onsite weekly.
Role Overview
This position entails leading our Direct to Consumer (DTC) division, encompassing subscription offerings as well as individual product sales. As the category manager driving this segment, you will be accountable for business growth, managing profit and loss, and overseeing pricing, promotions, and customer insights. Collaboration across marketing, product, and operations teams is essential to align priorities and execute growth strategies. This role reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and partners closely with the executive leadership based in Mountain View.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead P&L management for the subscription business and emerging individual product lines.
- Develop and implement effective pricing and promotional strategies to enhance customer acquisition and maximize profitability.
- Contribute to the product roadmap and operational planning while partnering with marketing, product, and operations teams.
- Drive customer growth and satisfaction by crafting innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
- Maintain a strong focus on the end-to-end customer experience, continually adapting the offering for better engagement.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and performance data to identify growth opportunities.
- Communicate insights and strategic plans clearly to influence stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create a superior customer journey.
- Work with autonomy, demonstrating perseverance and a competitive spirit.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in eCommerce strategy and growth leadership.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proven track record of managing P&L responsibility with accountability for business results.
- Strong analytical capability to distill data into actionable insights.
- Experience designing and executing pricing and promotion plans.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and influence at the executive level.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and a hands-on approach.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- MBA or related advanced degree.
- Background in consumer subscription products, retail eCommerce, or digital platform environments.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 annually, with final pay depending on factors such as experience and skills. KiwiCo offers a comprehensive compensation package including potential annual bonuses, stock options, and a broad array of benefits encompassing health, financial security, and wellness. Employment is at-will, and the company may adjust any benefit components as needed.
