Role Summary
This position entails comprehensive management of store operations, inventory oversight, and procurement activities for electronic components including semiconductors, passive components, connectors, and PCBs. The goal is to maintain precise stock levels, ensure timely purchasing, optimize costs, and support continuous production and operational flow.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage storage with attention to handling sensitive electronic parts (ESD and moisture sensitive), enforcing FIFO procedures.
- Organize bin locations with proper labeling and tracking systems for effective inventory control.
- Supervise inward and outward movement of materials and maintain store cleanliness and safety.
- Keep accurate inventory documentation, monitor stock quantities, and issue reorder alerts.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, and surplus stock while maintaining safety stock levels aligned with usage patterns.
- Procure necessary electronic components from authorized and approved vendors by conducting RFQs and comparing quotations.
- Prevent counterfeit products by sourcing exclusively from authorized distributors.
- Collaborate with production, research and development, and planning teams to ensure material availability, preventing production delays.
- Monitor supplier lead times, especially for imported or long-lead items, and coordinate inbound logistics.
- Ensure quality compliance for incoming materials with QA/QC inspections and maintain essential documentation such as Goods Receipt Notes and invoices.
- Adhere to ESD safety and handling protocols during all operations.
- Maintain and update records concerning stock, procurement activities, vendor performance, and BOM alignment.
- Track key performance indicators like inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and procurement effectiveness.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of experience at an executive level, preferably in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or R&D settings.
Essential Skills
- In-depth knowledge of electronic components and their handling requirements.
- Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and storage needs.
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
- Analytical proficiency in inventory planning and forecasting.
