About Us

Program Overview
This position is part of the Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS), intended to provide low-intensity, personalized assistance enabling clients to live independently, maintain social participation, and safely reside in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients to preserve their independence and reach personal goals.
- Provide domestic support such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Encourage social engagement and community involvement by accompanying clients on outings and offering companionship.
- Help with personal care and daily living activities when necessary.
- Transport clients and run errands safely using a personal vehicle.
- Operate autonomously while fostering respectful, trustworthy relationships that respect the clients' dignity and privacy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Effective communication skills and motivation techniques to empower clients.
- Empathy, reliability, and a compassionate service-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of and commitment to person-centred, strengths-based support methods in line with QCSS.
- Enrollment in or completion of at least a Certificate III level in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or a related discipline, including at least 120 hours of practical placement.
- Experience in roles such as cleaning, hospitality, customer service, or retail.
- Capability to work independently and responsibly in community environments.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Australian work authorization.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Queensland motor vehicle registration.
Certifications to Obtain
- First Aid and CPR Statements of Attainment.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Blue Card for Working with Children.
- Recent Australian criminal background check (within the past six months).
