About the Role
As a member of the Information Security Department within the Information Technology Division, the selected candidate will support Singapore Airlines' security operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the security team in monitoring and sustaining the organization’s security infrastructure.
- Take part in the deployment and ongoing support of cybersecurity solutions.
- Help manage and record security incidents, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate incident updates and insights to relevant parties.
- Investigate and analyze security events alongside vendors and internal groups.
- Coordinate with application, network, and infrastructure teams to support investigative efforts.
- Support vulnerability assessments, threat identification, and cybersecurity intelligence analysis.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of incident response playbooks and procedures.
- Assist in implementing and administering security monitoring and response tools.
- Help identify and comprehend potential threats and attack tactics.
- Stay informed of emerging cybersecurity threats and new technologies.
- Support vendor performance monitoring and review activities as needed.
- Perform other assigned ad-hoc duties to bolster security operations.
Requirements
- Degree holder in IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Between zero and two years of relevant experience in information security or allied fields.
- Possessing professional security certifications is beneficial.
- Exposure to or genuine interest in security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or similar monitoring technologies.
- Solid understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows and UNIX), Active Directory, and cloud environments.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with enthusiasm for continual learning and development.
- Positive mindset, self-motivated with eagerness to expand knowledge and collaborate effectively.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
