Tech Ops Manager

Role Overview

Our client, a pioneering company in fintech, blockchain, cryptography, infrastructure, and security, is seeking a Tech Ops Manager to manage and enhance internal IT systems and infrastructure for a remote-first global team developing next-generation core banking solutions. This position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and blends strategic leadership with practical execution, ensuring efficient and secure toolsets, hardware logistics, vendor management, and strict compliance adherence. Collaboration with Engineering, Security, and Operations departments is essential to support international growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the worldwide Google Workspace environment along with corporate IT tools.
• Implement and administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems like Jamf to secure devices, automate tasks, and ensure endpoint compliance.
• Handle vendor relationships, software licenses, hardware purchasing, configuration, and global equipment shipping to employees.
• Oversee the IT aspects of employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, access control, offboarding, and provide technical support across various time zones.
• Maintain detailed IT documentation, playbooks, and runbooks supporting compliance with SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and CCSS standards.
• Provide technical assistance to international teams and aid in the integration of internal AI tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least six years of experience in IT management or internal systems administration.
• Expertise in Google Admin, Google Workspace security features, MDM solutions such as Jamf, and endpoint security technologies.
• Demonstrated ability managing IT infrastructure and logistics for distributed, remote-first global teams.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity best practices and direct experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or ISO 22301 compliance frameworks.
• Strong pragmatic problem-solving skills balancing operational efficiency with robust security standards.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with the drive to work independently and improve workflows.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written; French language proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Experience or exposure to internal AI tools and integrations is a plus.

Interview Process

• Recruiter screening stage.
• Thirty-minute introductory conversation with the Co-CEO.
• Forty-five-minute online assessment covering critical thinking, verbal and numerical reasoning, detail focus, and problem-solving.
• Extended panel interview (90-120 minutes) delving into technical competency, cultural fit, security fundamentals, compliance knowledge, and work ethics.
• Final stage involving reference checks and background verification.
