Position Overview
As a Technical Program Manager for Google Pay India based in Singapore, you will oversee complex multidisciplinary projects from concept through launch, driving impactful products that influence digital payments across a large consumer base. Your role will include coordinating cross-team efforts, managing project timelines, and steering technical and product decisions within a fast-moving environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of multiple intricate technical programs aligned with Google Pay India's strategic priorities.
- Establish clear program goals, define deliverables, and break down ambiguous issues into actionable project plans with milestones.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Promote the integration of AI-driven and autonomous tools to streamline program management processes and improve risk prediction.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships across engineering, product, UX, legal, compliance, and external partners to influence technical and product decisions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements specific to India's digital payments ecosystem, navigating complex compliance needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of five years managing programs within technology, specifically overseeing the software development lifecycle and product development methodologies.
- Demonstrated track record delivering cross-functional technical programs from inception to launch.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Preferred: At least five years handling cross-team or cross-functional projects.
- Experience with large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications, particularly within FinTech or payments domains.
- Proficiency in data-driven approaches, utilizing metrics and analytics for program evaluation and risk identification.
- Familiarity with applying AI/ML methods to enhance program management tasks such as automating reporting and optimizing workflows.
- Knowledge of the Indian digital payments landscape, including UPI, regulatory bodies (RBI, NPCI), and key market players.
