Technical Support Engineer (NOC)

Overview

GS Tech Software Systems Pvt. Ltd., a prominent Internet Service Provider, invites applications for the position of Technical Support Engineer (NOC) based in Greater Noida near Venice Mall. This full-time role involves 24x7 Network Operations Center duties under a rotational shift schedule and focuses on managing and resolving issues related to broadband and enterprise network infrastructure remotely.

Key Duties

• Continuously monitor the network status using various NMS/NOC monitoring systems.
• Remotely troubleshoot connectivity problems involving Broadband, FTTH, and Internet Leased Lines.
• Address and resolve customer complaints by providing initial technical support.
• Diagnose problems associated with network equipment such as routers, switches, Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), ONUs/ONTs, and wireless devices.
• Collaborate with Field Engineers and higher-level technical teams (L2/L3) to rectify complex faults.
• Follow the escalation process for critical incidents promptly.
• Remotely configure and troubleshoot customer router issues.
• Observe network bandwidth usage, latency, packet losses, and overall performance.
• Maintain detailed trouble tickets and incident logs, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Uphold SLA standards by delivering timely updates to customers and ensuring closure of support tickets.
• Operate effectively within rotating shift patterns as required by the NOC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a relevant technical field (B.Tech, B.E., BCA).
• 0 to 3 years experience working in ISP, Telecom, or NOC environments is advantageous, though fresh graduates with solid networking knowledge and CCNA-level understanding are welcome.
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols and technology including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, Routing, and Switching.
• Basic familiarity with GPON/EPON technologies, FTTH infrastructure, and ISP networking.
• Experience or knowledge of network hardware from MikroTik, Huawei, Cisco, or Ubiquiti brands is a plus.
• Competence with network monitoring software such as PRTG, Zabbix, or The Dude.
• Ability to remotely diagnose and solve internet connectivity issues.
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Basic operational knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.
