Role Overview
As a Visual Merchandising Executive, you will collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Manager to support design and visual merchandising initiatives across Travel Retail markets in the APAC region. Your focus will be to uphold premium retail standards consistent with our luxury brand portfolio, enhancing product presentation and retail display to help meet commercial targets. Additionally, you will oversee project management duties related to business growth and acceleration within Travel Retail APAC.
Responsibilities
- Assist with permanent visual merchandising endeavors such as new store launches, renovation works, counter improvements, and in-store refurbishments throughout Travel Retail APAC.
- Coordinate effectively with global brand teams, commercial departments, retail partners, and external vendors to guarantee on-schedule execution adhering to brand standards.
- Keep an updated repository of store layouts, merchandising assets, and records of completed projects.
- Handle coordination of temporary visual merchandising initiatives, including seasonal product launches, pop-ups, promotions, and animation events across the region.
- Collaborate closely with brand and commercial divisions to tailor global merchandising concepts to meet retailer needs while ensuring high-quality execution.
- Oversee the quality and accuracy of installations at all retail touchpoints.
- Ensure that counters and promotional areas align with global merchandising protocols and retailer expectations.
- Conduct store inspections, evaluate counter status, and identify opportunities to improve brand presence and customer engagement.
- Work jointly with Commercial teams and Beauty Advisors to reinforce and maintain merchandising standards consistently.
- Manage forecasting, ordering, and distribution of point-of-sale materials for Travel Retail markets in APAC.
- Oversee project schedules, vendor management, and authorization processes to ensure timely delivery of visual merchandising projects.
- Monitor and track expenditure related to visual merchandising and assist with budget oversight.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Project Management, Retail Design, or a similar discipline.
- Between 1 and 2 years of experience in visual merchandising or project management, preferably in beauty or luxury sectors within travel retail.
- Experience with perfume and cosmetics industries is a beneficial advantage but not compulsory.
- Strong project management abilities to handle multiple brand projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project management software and design programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
- Adept in budget management, vendor negotiation, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of working with internal teams and external partners.
- Capacity to work autonomously within a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with meticulous attention to detail.
