About the Role
We are seeking a Workday Finance Expert to enhance and support our Workday Financial Management platform, ensuring it functions accurately and efficiently across IT, Finance, and Procurement departments. This role requires providing day-to-day functional and technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing processes, integrations, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing support for Workday Financials, covering areas such as Financial Accounting, Supplier and Customer Accounts (including Accounts Payable and Receivable), Expenses, Procurement, and Projects.
- Identify and resolve system problems by collaborating with internal teams and Workday Support as necessary.
- Oversee configuration changes and assist in testing and deploying updates and new features in Workday.
- Manage data loads using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and maintain bespoke reports and dashboards utilizing Workday Report Writer and Composite Reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and IT teams to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
- Seek opportunities to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
- Support financial audits and compliance activities by supplying system data and related documentation.
- Guide and train finance personnel on Workday capabilities and best practices.
- Keep updated on product enhancements and recommended practices through Workday Community.
- Document processes, procedures, and configuration details thoroughly.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a recognized professional accountancy qualification.
- Demonstrates hands-on experience with Workday Financials in functional or technical roles.
- Exhibits a strong grasp of finance processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Experienced in supporting financial systems or implementing related projects.
- Skilled in using Workday EIB and financial reporting instruments.
- Exemplifies strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Adaptable to working independently while managing various priorities.
- Confident engaging with stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Desirable Attributes
- Workday Financials or related module certification is advantageous.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or Workday Studio is preferred.
- Awareness of SOX compliance and financial audit standards.
- Familiarity with Workday HCM and Payroll modules is beneficial.
