Job Overview
Newman University’s Division of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a part-time adjunct instructor to teach an undergraduate online Nutrition course worth 3 credit hours for the Fall 2026 semester starting August 23, 2026. Located in Wichita, KS, this position requires residing and working within Kansas or designated approved states due to employment regulations.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate Nutrition courses adhering to university, departmental, and accreditation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Division Chair at least two weeks prior to course start to review syllabus and educational materials.
- Provide timely feedback on assignments, quizzes, and exams to students regarding their academic progress.
- Report mid-term and final grades within the specified deadlines using Jenzabar.
- Incorporate Canvas Learning Management System and other educational technologies to facilitate a dynamic learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Master’s degree in Biology or a relevant field, with a Doctorate preferred, or possess substantial professional experience in Nutrition.
- Demonstrated experience teaching university-level courses online.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
