Analyst / Senior Analyst

Role overview

DSTA is looking for a driven Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the Masterplanning and Systems Architecting Programme Centre in Singapore. The role focuses on helping MINDEF, SAF, and DSTA make well-informed decisions through structured analysis and technical problem-solving.

What you will do

• Partner with MINDEF, SAF, and DSTA stakeholders to understand the issue, shape the problem statement, and identify the critical decisions that need support.
• Build decision-support models, combat simulations, and other analytical solutions using optimisation methods, artificial intelligence, and modelling and simulation techniques.
• Carry out detailed analysis to generate insights that can guide system choices and operational concepts.

Training and support

The role comes with structured in-house training, guidance from experienced analysts, and customised work assignments designed to help you grow into the position.

Requirements

• A degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Solid grounding in modelling and simulation, probability and statistics, and programming languages such as VB, Java, C++, or C#.
• Strong analytical thinking, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset, along with initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
