Location and Schedule
Position based at East Boulder Mine, McLeod MT with a schedule of either five 9-hour days per week (5x2) or four 9-hour days per week (4x3).
Role Overview
This role focuses on coordinating, implementing, and managing master data to support asset management and planned maintenance. It involves providing technical expertise, overseeing data governance, and managing asset lifecycle data across the enterprise. The role aims to support control systems, policies, and asset management strategies while optimizing integration with other departmental systems and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing and facilitating long-term maintenance and asset management strategies ensuring strong governance and high-quality data management functions.
- Standardize data inputs to maintain accurate reporting, key performance indicators, and data entry protocols.
- Develop and maintain business processes, roles, and accountabilities related to Asset Management and JD Edwards (JDE) functions.
- Collaborate closely with site maintenance teams to uphold equipment data integrity and quality.
- Lead annual asset management assessments and prepare analytical reports.
- Manage lifecycle coordination for parts procurement, focusing on addressing obsolescence.
- Work with inventory teams to analyze stock criticality, optimize kitting opportunities, and conduct min/max inventory reviews.
- Ensure compliance with ISO-55000 standards regarding consumables.
- Support planning and scheduling processes, verifying completion of work through work orders.
- Monitor planned shutdown activities to meet preset targets using critical path analysis.
- Create cross-functional process maps, documentation, and actionable plans.
- Organize regular meetings, internal workshops, and develop training materials for continuous improvement.
- Update and refine policies, procedures, and strategic approaches as needed.
- Participate in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) reviews for equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience managing projects related to asset construction and operational readiness.
- Competence in analyzing complex datasets to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers, suppliers, and various stakeholders.
- Proactive approach in driving changes to standardize data and processes.
- Organizational and planning abilities with effective cross-functional communication.
- Capability to manage system and process changes effectively while balancing routine duties and deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills with experience analyzing data and using relational databases.
- Familiarity with disciplines such as Procurement, Finance/Accounting, and Information Systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Certification in Maintenance and Reliability is advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar data dashboard software.
- Report writing capabilities.
- Background in mining or construction companies managing asset-intensive operations.
- Experience utilizing JD Edwards Enterprise 9.2 ERP system.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or at least five years of experience in mining or an asset-intensive industry.
- At least four years of experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- A minimum of two years focusing on master data management concerning assets, equipment, inventory, and work management data setup.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and inventory management software.
