The platform syndicates rental listings across MLS and over 20 other platforms, managing the entire rental process from listing to move-in.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-focused Cleaner to maintain residential rental properties. The position involves executing cleaning services such as move-in/move-out cleans, rental turnovers, and preparing units for listing readiness. This role requires professionalism, organization, and the ability to work autonomously in the field while adhering closely to cleaning protocols, documenting completed work, and highlighting any property issues needing attention prior to listing or tenant move-in.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning appointments at residential rental units including move-in, move-out, turnover, and listing preparation.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures following company standards.
- Eliminate dust, dirt, debris, garbage, and any leftover items as required.
- Wipe down surfaces such as counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and frequently touched areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and clean floors effectively.
- Clean interior parts of appliances where necessary, including refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
- Recognize and report areas needing additional cleaning, junk removal, repairs, maintenance, or other follow-up work.
- Take clear before-and-after photographs and videos documenting the property and completed cleaning tasks.
- Provide comprehensive updates post-visit, including detailed notes, photos, and videos.
- Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants (where applicable), and internal team members.
- Adhere strictly to company instructions, cleaning checklists, access details, and appointment protocols.
Additional Cleaning Tasks May Include
- Deep cleaning of various property areas.
- Detailed kitchen and bathroom cleaning.
- Appliance cleaning inside and out.
- Dusting all surfaces and cleaning cabinets and drawers.
- Window sill and baseboard cleaning.
- Garbage removal and light debris cleanup.
- Preparing properties to be photo-ready and showcase-ready before inspections and move-ins.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning roles such as housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or residential cleaner.
- Comprehensive understanding of residential cleaning standards.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel to various properties.
- Possession of necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for each cleaning task.
- Comfortable independently accessing and cleaning residential rental properties.
- Ownership of an iPhone 13 or equivalent smartphone equipped with a high-quality camera.
- Capable of capturing clear photos and videos to document work completed.
- Able to write detailed notes and provide updates after each cleaning appointment.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Professional, punctual, dependable, and meticulous in work approach.
- Ability to follow detailed checklists, instructions, and property access information.
- Strong communication skills to interact respectfully with landlords, tenants, applicants, and team members.
Preferable Attributes
- Experience with move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleanings.
- Familiarity with cleaning rental properties pre-photos, showings, inspections, or tenant move-in.
- Able to identify property issues such as damages, maintenance needs, junk removal, pest concerns, access conflicts, or hazardous conditions.
- Experience working independently in the field for property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services companies.
