Overview
The Clinical Data Coordinator is responsible for supporting fundamental clinical data management tasks on assigned projects. The role ensures that data quality, accuracy, and compliance align with standard procedures, sponsor requirements, industry benchmarks, and regulatory criteria, contributing to the department's and organization's strategic aims.
Project Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of essential data management documentation across different trial phases such as start-up, maintenance, and closeout.
- Assisting with basic testing of databases and validating edit checks.
- Conducting data reviews and generating queries as appropriate.
- Performing data entry tasks when necessary.
- Updating databases to rectify identified errors.
- Helping to generate SAS data requests and reviewing output reports.
- Supporting the creation of data transfers and validating the associated outputs.
- Completing all tasks required to finalize clinical databases and associated project documentation for sponsor handover.
- Ensuring the storage and maintenance of approved study documentation within trial master files.
Departmental Contributions
- Participating in ongoing improvements within the Data Management team and broader organization through sharing information and providing training.
- Acting as an advocate for Data Management practices both internally and externally.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a minimum of one to two years of post-secondary certification in a relevant discipline or one to three years of related professional experience supplemented by continuous training.
- Demonstrates self-motivation paired with effective communication skills and a drive for excellent outcomes.
- Exhibits strong attention to detail and values collaborative relationships to achieve results.
- Committed to self-improvement and continuous learning.
- Capable of fostering a team-oriented environment.
